2004 Princess V58 - Model Description

High style and high speeds come as standard in the new V58.

The newly launched V58 is the most recent expression of the Princess V-Class philosophy. At high speeds, her seakeeping has to be experienced to be appreciated.

As well as a garage to house a tender, the cockpit has folding covers forward and aft of the radar arch, or the option of a hard top with an electrically opening central section.

Spacious accommodation is provided by two double staterooms and one twin-bedded guest cabin.

As for the saloon, it's sensational. The parquet-style floor with inset circular carpet, and stainless steel inlaid furniture, make this is an interior which demands to be seen.

2004 Princess V58 - Brochure Foreword

Some decisions are instinctively right.

The Princess name has become synonymous with all that's finest in motor yacht design. Regardless of size, Princess motor yachts generally exceed their owners' expectations for performance, seakeeping, comfort and safety.

Every Princess craft is the result of a rigorous and uncompromising approach to every detail of its design and manufacture. These details are sometimes obvious for all to see. On the water, there's no mistaking a Princess. They are instantly recognisable for their graceful lines and a timeless elegance that will never date.

Other details, however, need to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Underlying those sleek looks are Princess's pioneering advances in hull design to achieve higher speeds, more safely and more comfortably. This marriage of form and function also delivers superior economy, so you can enjoy cruising not just faster, but further.

Whilst outstanding performance, superior seakeeping and comfortable long-range fast cruising are the hallmarks of the Princess motor yacht, so too is ease of handling at low speeds. The combination of conventional drive, electronic engine controls and, where necessary, power assisted steering and a powerful bow thruster, allows manoeuvring to be undertaken with precision.

A similarly uncompromising approach is taken to the interiors. As well as making full use of all available space and fitting every possible comfort, Princess interiors are designed to delight the eye, to give lasting pleasure of ownership.

Whether you are relishing commanding her through challenging seas, enjoying al fresco entertaining on the flybridge, or relaxing in the comfort of the saloon or your cabin, one of the great pleasures of owning a Princess motor yacht is the certainty that you made the right decision.

World-class manufacturing standards.
A vital part of the pleasure of owning a Princess motor yacht is knowing she is capable of dealing confidently with the tough conditions the ocean can sometimes impose. Safety, after all, is as much a performance issue as speed.

Building impeccable seaworthiness into a boat begins at the earliest design stages. Every Princess starts life as a set of lines on paper, as a huge amount of data in a computer and as the combined knowledge in the heads of a team of designers so experienced that no computer could store the accumulated information.

Hull lines are developed and honed with advanced computer modelling using the latest CAD software. This is refined by many thousands of hours of testing in some of the toughest waters of the world - the English Channel off Plymouth.

It is a painstaking approach, but it has led to Princess setting new standards in hull design. Deep V hulls incorporate propeller tunnels to increase efficiency and forward thrust. They also keep the boat more horizontal in the transition period from displacement to planing for better visibility and control. Superior spray rail configuration keeps the boat dryer at high speeds, while pioneering, curved chine design gives a softer ride for improved seakeeping.

Once the design is perfected, Princess yachts are manufactured in some of the most modern factories in Europe. The very latest machinery and CAM processes are incorporated to make sure each Princess motor yacht is built to unerringly precise quality standards.

At the end of the build process, each boat is individually sea-tested, evaluated and fine tuned to make sure it delivers the performance, handling and integrity which are so crucial to the boating experience.

Cruising should be enjoyed in style and comfort.
Life on the water is a chance to escape from the cares and routines of everyday life. It gives you the freedom to go your own way, whenever the mood takes you.

In a Princess motor yacht, all this can be yours - but with a level of comfort that sets a new standard, and in a style to which you will quickly become accustomed.

On deck, the accent is on open-air living and entertaining, enjoying all the pleasures of cruising and the excitement of travel. Below, the ambience is more relaxed. Here, fine materials, subtle lighting and inspired styling combine to create a special atmosphere of quiet confidence and effortless comfort.

The sheer quality of finish is second to none, and is consistent across the entire Princess fleet, from the 25M to the Princess 42.

All the cabinetry, from the solid curves of the door frames to the specially designed contemporary furniture, are crafted using classic or natural cherry wood veneers, often featuring marquetry inlay or quartered grain. They are then protected with up to seven layers of lacquer, rubbed down by hand between coats, for a deep lustrous finish.

The same meticulous attention to detail is applied to all the practical areas of the fleet. The seating, with upholstery fabrics from an exclusive designer range, is ergonomically designed for comfort. The superbly equipped galleys and luxurious cabins are provided with generous storage space. Even the traditional stall shower has been redesigned for better usability.

So whether you are enjoying the excitement of high speed cruising out at sea, or relaxing in the tranquility of a secluded anchorage, your Princess motor yacht's combination of practicality and restrained luxury will make you, and your guests, feel perfectly at home.
