Fairline Targa 62 - Model Overview
This, our flagship express cruiser, has been widely applauded, and with her unique GRAN TURISMO specification, there is no doubt that she takes the Targa design philosophy to new levels.

The most obvious cause of the excitement that surrounded the launch of this boat was the conceptual advance represented by the fabulous sliding roof system, with its accompanying Deck Saloon option.

The powered retractable hardtop is exquisitely engineered, so you can switch smoothly from al fresco to indoor living and dining at the flick of a switch, blurring the normal conventions of cockpit and living space. With the standard arrangement, the expansive roof covers a comprehensively equipped cockpit, open at the aft, finest quality weather-resistant materials being chosen for the twin independent helm seats, companion and dining seating. The floor is teak-laid, and close to hand are the electric griddle, icemaker and coolbox.

As the name suggests, the Deck Saloon option has been designed to create a cosy, secure atmosphere, with aft cockpit doors framed in stainless steel and complete with a privacy blind. Despite all this luxury, the exhilaration of Targa-style boating is still there at the push of a button. just power that huge roof smoothly back, and open up a whole new boating experience! Selective options for the Deck Saloon include air conditioning and heating, with screen demisting, and a range of sophisticated systems such as LCD television with DVD, satellite telephone and television.

Below deck, you'll find two lavish and spacious staterooms, each with a king-sized double bed and access to private shower and toilet facilities. The magnificent full-width master stateroom, amidships, features three large portholes on both sides, giving a wonderfully light, airy feel. This rather special 'home from home' for the owner, is luxuriously equipped with a full-height wardrobe, a dressing table, and a sofa on which to relax and watch the ECD TV or listen to the high quality CD/Radio system.

The full-width saloon of our flagship Targa is a statement of both opulence and excellence; a class-leading saloon in every sense. The large roof skylight brings a light and airy look, and combined with the beauty of the furnishing and finishes, offers spaciousness and luxury that must be experienced to be appreciated. The integrated entertainment centre incorporates a 20-inch LCD TV and Bose" surround-sound, standing testimony to the high quality of the audio/visual systems fitted throughout the boat.

The standard layout offers a third cabin to starboard, with a two-bunk arrangement; the optional fit-out is a spacious utility room with a washer/dryer. In the stern, the standard arrangement is a Utility area with optional washer/dryer, with optional fit-out as a Crew cabin.

And last, but by no means least ... a galley to delight even the less enthusiastic cook! Everything is here; from twin sinks to a full height fridge/freezer, and from the combination microwave/conventional oven to the stylish, easy-clean Avonite"' work surfaces. Simple things like houcold mixer taps with an extending spray nozzle, an extractor unit and plenty of well-planned storage space combine to make this galley area a delight to use.

Underneath it all, of course, this is unmistakably a Targa, with up to 36 knots available from the 2100 mhp engine configuration, and a hullform that takes the rough and the smooth with equal panache. Magnificent!

Fairline Targa 62 - Range Overview
The five models in Fairline's Targa range have come to define the luxury express cruiser, with outstanding performance, a sleek, athletic build, and excellent use of space. Their deep-V Olesinski hulls cut and plane effortlessly through the heaviest levels of seas, provide soft riding into head seas, and cocoon you with the highest levels of creature comforts and equipment. Naturally, the Fairline's heritage runs deep: behind the head-turning good looks, clever detailing and gleaming trim, the build quality is impeccable. The fine American cherry or honey maple cabinetry, stunning decor, sparkling halogen lighting and well-equipped galleys are just some of the features that come as standard on all Targa models.

Fairline Targa 62 - Brochure Foreword
THE FAIRLINE MARQUE WAS BORN of one man's vision and passion for excellence. Jack Newington, the company's founder, was a man committed to the highest ideals of quality and integrity; more than that, he had the rare ability to take his own high standards and values and weave them into the fabric of what was to become a hugely successful enterprise. Even today, forty years later, these values still drive everything we do. Fairline excels at building beautiful boats that delight, exhilarate and astonish their owners. This is the marque for those who look beyond the brash and the superficial; these are boats with a beauty and integrity that is very much 'More than Skin Deep'.

Exceeding the expectations of some of the most quality-sensitive customers in the world isn't easy. The ability to deliver real pleasure of ownership, year after year, calls for an unwavering company culture and an unquestioning core commitment, to build the very best. That Fairline has succeeded is readily apparent. Praise and the attention of the world's press greets each new Fairline introduction, and the marque commands universal respect for its unique ability to meld traditional skilled craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovations of the 21st century. Success is apparent, too, in the satisfyingly high residual values associated with our motor yachts, and - above all - in the fact that Fairline owners wishing to explore new models overwhelmingly do so within rather than outside the Fairline stable.

Stunning, exhilarating and seductive though they are on the surface, there's much, much more to a Fairline than meets the eye. Come, let's explore.

A FAIRLINE IS IN THE DETAILS. Every Fairline is the confluence of a bold creative vision, a clear sense of purpose and a sound seafaring pragmatism. These attributes combine to create a motor yacht that intuitively feels 'right', instilling a sense of comfort and confidence in everyone who steps aboard.

The evocative lines of each boat are a classic merging of form and function. The hull form - responsible for the dry, secure and responsive ride that is the hallmark of every Fairline - comes from the studios of renowned naval architect Bernard Olesinski, while Fairline's Design, Engineering and Product Development team creates and refines every other aspect of the boat's design - from the bold style statements of the superstructure to the smallest interior detail.

Enriching the wealth of practical in-house design experience is feedback from our worldwide network of dealers and, above all from Fairline owners. We support international rallies; enabling Fairline designers to talk directly with Fairline customers about real-world, hands-on design issues and practicalities.

And it's not mere talk, either. Recent improvements include changes to dashboard and instrumentation layouts, the darkening of materials in certain areas to minimise glare, and the separation of compass and gauge illumination to maximise night-vision retention.

Such practical touches abound, making every moment aboard a pleasure. You might take for granted the self-parking wipers, or the eye-friendly red night-lighting at the lower helm position, but if you've spent much time at cruising speed aboard other motor yachts, you'll certainly appreciate the ingenious fixed crockery stowage and the push-flush, anti-rattle door locks fitted throughout your Fairline.

For the same, eminently practical reasons, when you need a cockpit power socket to inflate the dinghy, you'll find one waiting, working (thanks to thorough waterproofing) and perfectly to hand. Overhead handrails will always, magically, be where they should be. And when you see the lengths to which we have gone to ensure that your enjoyment of a peaceful anchorage is not disturbed by noisy generators or the dribble and splash of their seawater exhausts, you'll start to understand the essence of the Fairline philosophy: quality, integrity and pride of ownership cannot be a pretty but fragile veneer... it must run very deep.

UNMATCHED LEVELS OF SERVICE. A vitally important part of the experience of being a Fairline owner is the commitment and integrity you will encounter at your local Fairline dealership. These are highly professional, thriving businesses in their own right, serving as representatives of Fairline within a network of dealerships stretching right around the world.

Your Fairline dealer will enhance every aspect of your Fairline ownership. His intimate local knowledge and experience will help you find the right Fairline, and ensure that it delivers the supreme pleasure of ownership for which this marque is justly renowned. Should the need arise, your Fairline dealer will also help you take advantage of the traditionally buoyant brokerage market, helping you to trade up smoothly and easily.
